Firewood

A few pics from cutting firewood in Almo. Almo is the little town you see between the trees. And a photo of me, bro brandon, sis Cami and dad after we got the truck load of firewood.

Saved horses

While I was in Idaho at my parents house, my dad got a phone call. The Veternarian in the area had been out to this ranch checkin someones cows, when the people asked him if he could put the horses down, "kill them". The vet said no. They are good horses. So he called my dad to see if he wanted them. Of course my dad could use more horses. Plus seeing the horses this way just makes you want to take care of them. So with in an hour my dad was on his way to get the horses. 3 in all. I took these pics to see how much they will improve. He has been givin 6 horses this year. people just don't have enough money to feed them.

My brother the hunter

This is my younger brother Brandon. He loves to hunt. In the past he has been a rifle kind of guy. This year he decided to use a bow. Last year he killed a deer, elk, antelope and cougar, with a rifle. This year he has tags for all four again but he is going to try with a bow. I think he has a good start.

Cody's Rod

I built this rod for Cody as a gift for helping me build a bow. As I have no money to give. Turns out this is my favorite rod. Hopefully we can fish together alot, so that I can see it in action. Hope you like Code.

Brook Trout

I made this rod for the brook trout that I love to fish for. They are usually found in some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. I wrapped the rod with threads that resemble the brook trout. Had a good day of fishing.

While in Idaho

I have been in Idaho for the last two weeks lookin for something to do. I did a little work and a little play. Of course i went fishing, horse races, camp fires, build a little fence, cut some firewood, some more fishing, killed and skinned a rattle snake, went for a horse ride, fishing again, and played dominoes with the family. I got this old sheep camp from my grandma. I am going to start restoring it. It had been parked in the same place ever since I was a kid. I was surprised the wheels turned. My dad told me he spent many a nights in that old sheep camp. He said when he was little he woke up in the middle of the night and needed to go outside. well before they went to sleep they had forgot to put the fold down table "UP" along with the pancake mix. So when he got outta bed he landed right on the table. And there went breakfast. He said grandpa was madder than hell at him. made me laugh. I hope to have it finished by Christmas, cause i want to sleep in it on Christmas Eve. It even has a woodstove in it.

Underwater Color

Well I finally got out the last three saturdays to really start fishing for the season. Water is still real high and dirty. Cort caught a huge carp by Utah Lake. He fought it for like 15 minutes it seemed like.

Days gone by

Sher will be happy to hear I have no new fishing pics, so I found a few I took last year. The first one is The Castle Rocks. These are in Almo Id. where I grew up. I really liked this pic of the trout. I had the camera ready when I released him. Thought it turned out cool. And the last one is of Redfish Lake in Idaho. I took this pic while I was up helping my dad cut poles. Not a bad place to work.
