After about 3 months of working on my rod, it is finished. Sher helped me take a few pics. It has exceded my expectations. I am very excited with the way it casts and feels. It was really worth the time it took building and i plan on building more.
I built the reel seat with the same piece of mahogany the i used to build the planing forms. I also used a 1920 Indian Head nickel on the butt.

Sick Jor, Sick.
Those are super rad, nice work
A really sweet looking rod, you nailed the aesthetics just perfectly to my taste! Bet it's a joy to fish with.
Hello,
I stumbled on your blog recently and just loved the pictures of your homemade bamboo fly rod. I also enjoyed the striking simplicity of your fishing photos and think they are wonderful! Any advice on how I might go about building a fly rod?
